About the Zuni Historical Society
The purpose of the Society is to:
•To collect and preserve all historical material associated with the Village of Zuni, Virginia for the benefit of present and future generation;
•To promote research and publish findings regarding the history, architecture, arts, crafts, culture and genealogy of the area;
•To preserve the sites, buildings, and monuments of historic, aesthetic or architectural interest in the area, to encourage the owners of such properties in their preservation and restoration, and to extend appreciation of the characteristics of the area in those fields;
•To provide a place for the reception and preservation of records and other personal property of any nature relating to the purposes of the society, and for displaying such records and property and permitting the study of same;
•To cooperate with other organizations in promoting the above purposes.
